May be ready to start solid foods

A Physical milestone for the 4-8 months age range.

TIP: You can begin to introduce "solid" foods from four to six months of age. As your child's ability to move increases, so will his appetite! For most babies the first solid food is rice cereal mixed with expressed breast milk or formula. Start with just a teaspoonful or two, given on a small baby spoon. If he doesn't take to it the first time, don't worry! Eating, like everything else, takes practice.
